On the fourth session of VoiceWorx, the participants learned about the basics of dubbing under the one and only Danny “Ama” Mandia, the director behind a number of notable Tagalized cartoons like Peter Pan, Secret Garden, and Remi.

The said session was composed of two parts: the lecture and the hands-on dubbing exercises. For the lecture part, Mr. Mandia gave an introduction on dubbing. He also taught them how to create different characters using their voices as well as the difference between dubbing for anime and dubbing for real people.

Afterwards, these students had a chance to experience how to dub. They were asked to dub a scene taken from a certain Japanese animated series.

As a part of Assumption College, San Lorenzo Village’s “Kakaibang Klase,” The VoiceMaster Pocholo Gonzales was invited to give a talk on”The Art of Voice Acting” at the High School Music Room of Assumption College, San Lorenzo Village, Makati City.

The course lasted for three hours and comprised of two parts: the lecture part and the workshop. During the lecture, the participants, who were high school students, learned about the history and all other basics of voice acting.

Meanwhile, they were given exercises on the use of voice during the workshop part. The students were able to test themselves and know their potentials to be voice artists.

Everything began with passion.

Seven years ago, younger Pocholo Gonzales thought of establishing his own recording studio. But even though he had overflowing passion combined with all the necessary skills, he had a hard time securing the resources he needed to be able to do that. Starting a business is not easy, after all. He had to do a lot of sacrifices, including saving majority of the talent fees he received.

Soon, he rented a room in a particular building in Dian St., Palanan, Makati City (Now, it already occupies two floors of the same building). But it did not really settle his dilemmas. Although he already had the space where he could start his dream studio, he was not able to provide all the necessary equipment immediately. It took him more work and sacrifices to finally get all those things.

That was how CreatiVoices Productions began. And now, it has already become the country’s premier voice over company and talent agency which provides excellent talents for a number of audio productions all around the world. It also takes pride in its state of the art facilities and highly-creative team of people, the ones behind its numerous projects which have always been successful.

Truly, it has already achieved a lot. From its breakthrough projects to the voice artists it has already produced through its workshop, it can be said that it has already reached that far. It also never stops in discovering and inspiring people who have got what it takes to be good voice artists. Truly, it has been a home to many great people who also had their breaks here.

And of course, this is just the beginning of another chapter. Certainly, there are more things to look forward to. More years will pass and we are sure that it will continue not just to give excellent services but also to change lives and make a difference.

Happy Anniversary, CreatiVoices!
